Oldest religious building in the municipality of Lajes do Pico, which belonged to the Franciscan order. The Chapel of São Pedro, located in Lajes do Pico, is a simple monument but has a special place in the History of Pico Island, as it was the first temple to be built by the first settlers who arrived there, around 1460.
