The Pico Wild Birds Rehabilitation Centre (CERAS) aims to recover injured or debilitated wild birds and safely release them back into nature.
The Centre also functions as a point of environmental awareness and education for the population, promoting proper handling practices for injured animals and introducing the bird species of the region as well as those passing through the archipelago.
With prior appointment, you can take a guided tour of the Centre’s facilities and potentially observe the species currently under recovery.
